This Privacy Policy explains how Palitra, Inc. ("Palitra", "we", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data when you visit palitra.io, contact us through the forms on this site, or use the Palitra platform. It also explains the rights you have over your data and how to exercise them. If you have any question about this policy, write to us at hello@palitra.io.
1. Who is responsible for your data
Palitra, Inc. is the controller of the personal data described in this policy: we decide why and how it is processed. For questions about this policy, requests concerning your data, or complaints about how we handle it, contact us at hello@palitra.io. We answer data requests within 30 days.
2. Data we collect
We collect data you give us directly and data collected automatically when you use the site. Data you give us: first and last name, email address, phone number, company name, the subject and body of your message when you submit the contact or demo request form, and the account and configuration data you enter when you use the platform. Data collected automatically: IP address, browser type and version, device and operating system, referring page, pages viewed, time spent, and identifiers stored in cookies. We do not collect special categories of data (such as health, biometric, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, or religious beliefs) and ask you not to include them in the messages you send us.
3. Why we use your data
We use personal data to respond to your enquiries and contact you about them; to schedule and run product demonstrations; to enter into and perform our contract with you; to provide, operate, and support the platform; to send service messages about your account, billing, and material changes to the service; to keep the site and the platform secure and to detect and prevent fraud and abuse; to measure how the site is used and improve it; to send marketing communications where you have asked us to or where we are otherwise permitted to do so; and to comply with our legal, accounting, and tax obligations.
4. Legal bases for processing
Where the GDPR or a comparable law applies, we rely on the following legal bases. Performance of a contract: providing the platform, handling your account, and responding to a request you initiated. Legitimate interests: securing our services, preventing abuse, understanding how the site is used, and communicating with business contacts about services relevant to their role — balanced in each case against your interests and rights. Consent: analytics and marketing where consent is required, which you may withdraw at any time. Legal obligation: retaining records we are required by law to keep. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before the withdrawal.
5. Cookies and analytics
The site uses cookies and similar technologies. Strictly necessary cookies and local storage entries make the site work — for example by preserving interface state between pages and by remembering the choice you make about analytics — and cannot be switched off through the site. Analytics cookies are set through Google Tag Manager and the measurement tools loaded through it; they tell us how many people visit, where they come from, which pages they read, and how long they stay. Analytics is loaded only after you accept it: when you first arrive we show a notice offering "Accept" and "Necessary only", and until you choose to accept, no analytics script is added to the page and no analytics cookie is set. Your choice is stored in your browser together with the date and the version of this policy, and we ask again when that version changes. You can change your mind at any time using the "Cookie settings" control at the bottom of any page, which forgets your answer and shows the notice again. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, browse in private mode, or install a browser extension that blocks analytics. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the site from working.
6. Marketing communications
We send marketing emails only to people who asked to hear from us or who gave us their details in a business context and have not objected. Every marketing email carries an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Service messages about your account or contract are not marketing and continue regardless of your marketing preferences.
7. Service providers we share data with
We share personal data with service providers who process it on our behalf under contract, only for the purposes described in this policy: Vercel Inc. (United States) hosts this website and runs the endpoint that receives form submissions; SendPulse (smtp-pulse.com) delivers the transactional email generated by those submissions; Google LLC (United States) provides Google Tag Manager and the analytics loaded through it. We also disclose data where the law requires it, to establish or defend legal claims, and to a buyer or successor in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case this policy continues to apply until the recipient publishes its own. We do not sell personal data and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
8. International transfers
The service providers listed above are located in the United States, so using our site involves transferring personal data outside your country and, where relevant, outside the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom. Where such a transfer requires a safeguard, we rely on the mechanisms our providers make available, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. 9. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiries submitted through the site for up to one year from your last contact with us if no contract follows. Account and platform data is kept for the term of the contract and for three years after it ends, so that we can handle questions and claims arising from it. Records we are required to retain for accounting, tax, or other legal reasons are kept for the period the relevant law prescribes. When a retention period ends, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised.
10. Your rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may: ask what personal data we hold about you and receive a copy; have inaccurate data corrected; have your data deleted; restrict or object to processing, including profiling and direct marketing; receive the data you gave us in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you may exercise the rights to know, delete, and correct, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data — we do not sell or share personal data as those terms are defined by California law — and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them. 11. Security
We protect personal data with organisational and technical measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of data in transit (TLS), access limited to staff who need it to do their work, credential encryption at rest, isolation of customer data by project, read-only access to connected analytics accounts, and audit logging of actions taken in the platform. No system is perfectly secure, but we review these measures as the service changes.
12. Children
Our site and platform are intended for business use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child has given us personal data, write to hello@palitra.io and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The current version is always published at palitra.io/legal-page/privacy, and the date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change materially affects how we use your data, we will give you notice by email or through the service before it takes effect.
